Walk With Me for Parkinson's - Saturday 12 April 2025

The Yorkshire & Humber Younger Person's Support Group is run by a group of volunteers from across the region. We exist to support anyone of working age (under 67) with Parkinson's and their family/friends.

Every year we hold a cross-region information day and an event to mark World Parkinson's Day. The details for this year are:-

Saturday 12 April 2025 - 'Walk with me for Parkinson's', from 1pm to 5pm at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, West Bretton, WF4 4LG.

For more information and to book tickets, go to https://www.trybooking.com/uk/ELLT (concessions available).

Save the date! Sunday 19 October 2025 - Information and Social day, 10am - 4pm at the Village Hotel Leeds South, Capitol Boulevard West, Tingley, Leeds, LS27 0TS. We will be updating the information over the coming weeks, including booking details.

We also encourage and can help with the setting up of informal social groups throughout the region. So far, these run in Hull, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield and York. Generally, they meet socially once a month in the evening. They are a casual get together for local younger people with Parkinson's and their family/friends, providing mutual support and a chance to chat with others in a similar situation about anything and everything, not just life with Parkinson's. New members are always welcome.
