Warblers

We are a friendly and welcoming group who enjoy a great sense of community together. Please don’t feel that you need to have any singing experience or ability to come to our sessions. Do take the exercises and songs at your own pace or if you feel you would just like to sit and observe that is fine too! A typical session will begin with some stretching and vocal exercises and then we move on to songs where we can put into practice the techniques we have been focusing on. We aim to increase breath control and posture and we do all sorts of exercises to get the facial muscles working. Tongue twisters and patter songs are always a fun way to increase articulation and are great for backing up speech therapy. Our members tell us that it is a great way of strengthening the voice too. The most important thing is that the sessions are fun. Singing in a group is uplifting and has the power to increase the quality of life. We would like to encourage you to try more than one session to get into the swing of things and do feel free to give us any feedback.
