Parkinson's Nordic Walking, Rothbury
Local Nordic walking instructor Julie from Strolls with Poles is delivering Nordic walking sessions in Rothbury for people living with Parkinson's.
Nordic walking can be great for people with Parkinson's as it enhances a natural walking style enabling you to maintain your stride and posture. It can increase your confidence in walking by positively challenging your coordination. If you feel that you tend to walk slower and take smaller steps, Nordic Walking creates a steady beat to improve your pace and stride. It can also make exercise fun and social when done in a group.
There are also sessions in Hexham and North Tyneside - please contact Julie for details or refer to the separate listings for those locations.
Sessions in Rothbury are taking place on the following Thursdays:
31 July
28 August
2 October
13 November
Starting at 10.30am at Rothbury riverside.
Thanks to a grant from Parkinson's UK these sessions are subsidised and cost £5 per person. For more information and to book please contact Julie at Strolls with Poles on 07443495622 or email [email protected].
