Parkinson's Nordic Walking - Hexham

Local Nordic walking instructor Julie from Strolls with Poles is delivering Nordic walking sessions by the river in Hexham for people living with Parkinson's.

There are day-time sessions on Thursdays and evening sessions on Tuesdays, with some potential Sunday sessions too.

Nordic walking can be great for people with Parkinson's as it enhances a natural walking style enabling you to maintain your stride and posture. It can increase your confidence in walking by positively challenging your coordination. If you feel that you tend to walk slower and take smaller steps, Nordic Walking creates a steady beat to improve your pace and stride. It can also make exercise fun and social when done in a group.

There are also sessions in North Tyneside and Rothbury - please contact Julie for details or refer to the separate listings for those locations.
