Keep Fit for Parkinson’s with Music

Being active is important for everyone. It can make you feel good inside and out. It can maintain your health. It can lift your mood.

And if you have Parkinson’s, it can help manage your symptoms. The more physically active you are, the easier it is to live well with Parkinson’s.

This is a gentle but very effective exercise session set to music to help you keep moving. The session starts standing with a warm up and some large movements, seated alternatives are given to every move. It then goes on to movements to help with flexibility and some cognitive moves. Finishing off with some stretches.

The lead has been trained by physio's although she is not a physio herself, and she has done Parkinson's specific training too.

The sessions are £2.50 per week and include refreshments at the end with time for a quick chat together, in a lovely spacious hall with lots of natural light and easy parking.
