Dance for Parkinson's
Weekly Dance for Parkinson’s classes at Godalming United Church, now partially subsidised by the Branch.
Inclusive Intergenerational Dance (IID) offers these enriching sessions for £40.00 in advance for a 10-week term.
Each 1-hour class begins with seated exercises, progressing to standing and moving dances, with variations to accommodate all participants.
Our classes aim to explore various dance styles, storytelling, and creative tasks, fostering enjoyment and expression through dance.
Extensive research highlights the benefits of dance for individuals with Parkinson’s, including improved balance, gait, movement fluidity, and confidence.
These classes provide a valuable opportunity for participants to connect, share experiences, and express themselves in a supportive environment.
Join us next term on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, with the added bonus of socialising over tea and coffee afterward.
Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear. We recommend bringing a bottle of water.
