Your dance teacher, Laura Dexter
For six years after graduation Laura performed and toured nationally with an educational dance company. She then taught dance and performing arts in secondary school for many years. Now freelance, she has completed training with Live Well and Dance with Parkinson’s and with Later Life learning obtained a Level 4 Postural Stability qualification for falls prevention.
What to expect
Laura’s Dance for Parkinson’s sessions are tailored to our group and focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, cognitive performance and creativity. The music is different every time. There is a lot of fun and some improvisation. And no ballroom!
Sessions last an hour, followed by a cuppa and chat, so the hall is booked until 1pm. It costs £3 to attend.
