Your dance teacher, Laura Dexter: after graduating with a BA Hons dance degree from Trinity Laban, Laura performed and
toured nationally with an educational dance company for six years. She then decided to share her passion and technique with young students and was a teacher of dance and performing arts in secondary education for many years. Laura returned to working as a freelance artist and has continued her professional development by completing numerous courses including training with Live Well and Dance with Parkinson’s and obtaining a Level 4 Postural Stability qualification for falls prevention.
Laura’s sessions are tailored to her participants and focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, cognitive performance and creativity. She is very much looking forward to working with Parkinson’s UK Birmingham South
Charge on the door: For our first year, we have an activity grant from Parkinson’s UK to cover costs, which means no formal charge on the door. But if you wish to make a donation to our support group funds, this would be much appreciated.
Sessions will last an hour, followed by a cuppa, so the hall is booked until 12.30pm
Location including postcode of where the activity is held: St David’s Church Hall, Shenley Green B29
