If your symptoms are progressing, focus on exercise that takes effort and pushes you, such as golf, bowling, (paired) dance, health walks and swimming.

Big, Bold and Balance is a community exercise class tailored for people with Parkinson's, led by qualified and trained exercise teachers. The classes use evidence-based exercise to improve you Balance and help to reduce the risk of falls.

We practise 'Big' and 'Bold' movements to improve your range of movement.  'Boldness' also encourages effort and a degree of mindfulness to find the correct limb placement. The classes have been designed with experience from NHS specialist physiotherapists as well as evidence from Australia and America to fight the symptoms of Parkinson's and improve balance and posture.

Most of our participants have been living with Parkinson's for some time.  We encourage anyone living with Parkinson's, and their family members and carers, to come along and give it a try.

These classes are provided by Generation Games in partnership with Age UK Oxfordshire.  We subsidise the cost per person and ask for a donation of £2 per class and it is free for carers.
