Singing and voice exercises Music4Wellbeing

This is so much more than just singing! And it's certainly not a choir.

We start with refreshments before we sing, with time for a quick chat. We start with a warm up of hands feet and mouths, which goes on to legs, arms and faces.

Once we are warmed up we may have a few tongue twisters to get our tongues flexible. Then on to songs with movements which may turn into a round where you have to keep in time with your side of the room.

Then a few songs, and maybe a sea shanty or two. Some are from past eras (the 50's and 60's) and some are more modern (the 80's). Some may have actions to keep us moving and to workout our brains.

One of the sessions we were bouncing tennis balls in time to the music whilst singing in time as well.

Then out come the instruments, tambourines and maracas to shake, drums and sticks to tap as we work towards our final song.

All designed to help you manage your Parkinson's and have lots of fun. There is always so much laughter.

There is a cost of £2 per person.
