Movement with Music - Colchester

Improve your mobility and have a laugh. Join us to keep in shape while having fun! Research suggests that dancing and exercising can improve mobility and general wellbeing in people with Parkinson's, and help you to manage the condition.

This is a lighthearted music-based Parkinson's exercise class. The class elements help with specific aspects of Parkinson's such as balance, co-ordination, multi-tasking etc.

Generally we start with some seated exercises and work all of the different muscle groups (gently), then some co-ordination tasks - to stimulate mind and body. Then a set of movements to a popular piece of music - where we might sing along as well to exercise our voice muscles. Finally a dance track to end the session on a high note.

All of the moves are shown for seated or standing so you can join in at your level.
