Walk and Talk for Parkinson's 

Sunday 11 May 2025, Herrington Country Park (near Penshaw Monument)

We invite anyone of working age with Parkinson's and their family/friends to join us for our Walk and Talk event to enjoy a friendly walk and meet others affected by Parkinson's. Bring the family, bring your partner, bring the dog!

Date and time: Sunday 11 May, 11am until approx. 12 or 12.30pm. (Arrive from 10.40 to start walking at 11am).

We’re hoping to be able to book a table for a pub lunch somewhere close by afterwards, for those wishing to stay on.

Cost: Free to attend the walk but buy your own refreshments (including the pub lunch).

Where: Herrington Country Park, Chester Rd, Penshaw, Houghton le Spring DH4 7EL. Free parking available.

There will be an optional pub lunch at a nearby location. Note that you will need to pay for any food or drink on the day.

There is also space to enjoy a picnic at the Country Park.

You must also express your intention to come to the pub lunch at the same time, if you wish to stay for that. Note that you will need to pay for any food and drink on the day.

Everyone is welcome: Those with Parkinson's and your families and friends, including the 4 legged variety.
