West of Scotland Research Interest Group hosts the team from the Parkinson’s UK Brain Bank: 'From Brain to Breakthrough'

The Parkinson’s UK Brain Bank has existed for over 25 years and is a research service that allows those living with Parkinson’s to donate their tissues after they die, for use in research. The Brain Bank is the bridge between donor and the researcher, preparing an individual's bequest so that it is suitable for research, as well as providing expertise to researchers and medical professionals alike.

The team will present the functioning of the Parkinson’s UK Brain Bank, explaining the donation process, collaboration with other research projects, as well as giving a small glimpse into the type of research they support.
