Val Rowley Parkinson’s Forum Annual Event

The popular annual Val Rowley event, re-branded as the Val Rowley Parkinson’s Forum in 2026, is this year taking place on Thursday 17 September 2026.

Designed to both educate and inspire those with Parkinson’s to live their best lives alongside their valued carers.

A variety of short sessions with highly practical top tips, including from:

• Louise Smith, our Local Adviser for Parkinson’s UK
• Angela Penny, Speech and Language Therapist with the Airedale Parkinson’s Team
• Cathi Ridding, Occupational Therapist
• Martin Hepworth, Tai Chi instructor, who will be leading a taster session for both seated and standing participants!
• A representative from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service

Following these short practical sessions, there will be a ‘market place’ where you can roam freely and chat to the presenters with your own questions to receive further support.

If you wish, you can simply enjoy refreshments and a natter with others on your table, similar to a normal monthly ‘Hub Club’.

Furthermore, you can take part in a raffle to help raise vital funds for the Skipton and District Support Group with lots of exciting prizes!
