Trent Bridge Parkinson's Strollers Walk

The first walk this year on Tuesday 17 March 2026 is the "Three bridges of the Trent" - featuring the historical Wilford Toll Bridge, the suspension footway crossing and of course Trent Bridge.

Meeting in the car park on Coronation Avenue, Wilford, NG11 7AB; ready to walk at 11am please. If the car park is full there is plenty of on street car parking available nearby.

We plan to split into two groups - each walking for approximately 60 minutes:

  • A slow paced group who will walk along the southern side of the river as far as the Suspension Bridge, where they will cross and head along the Victoria Embankment to Wilford Bridge then back towards the Ferry Inn - total distance just over 2 miles.
  • A slower paced group who will head over Wilford Bridge and walk part of the way along the Victoria Embankment before retracing their route back to the Ferry Inn.

We recommend participants wear suitable footwear. As this event is run by volunteers there is no first aid provided and we require everyone to provide a name and phone number of someone who can be contacted in case of emergency.

Afterwards we will have lunch at the Ferry Inn from 12.30pm, where anyone is welcome to join us.

Please let me know if you intend to join the walk and/or the pub lunch by text message to 07931 302 675 or by email to [email protected] before 9pm on Sunday 15 March 2026 so that numbers for the lunch booking can be confirmed.

Please keep checking back for further updates as our meeting point changes each month.
