Tai Chi
An exercise class that promotes flexibility and strength. Tai Chi can help with balance, mental wellbeing and is a very doable form of exercise. You can sit or stand depending on your balance. As long as you can walk the session is accessible to you.
- These sessions are for anyone with a diagnosis of Parkinson's.
- Carers, family or friends can attend but only one person session (due to space limitations).
- The session is led by a volunteer who has been doing Tai Chi for 3 years and is classed as a third party activity
- We ask participants to wear comfortable clothing and footwear, so no need for sports wear, bring a water bottle so you can have a drink when you feel you need one.
- No booking required.
- Cost is £5 per session.
We have tea and coffee at the end of the session which gives people an opportunity to socialise.
Please note this activity is not covered by Parkinson's UK insurance and that your participation is at your own risk
People with Parkinson's or their carer can contact Lynda Kirkwood via email or phone for information about attending, or just turn up on the day.
