Testimonials from attendees:
We would like to say that since you have taken over the group we have thoroughly enjoyed coming. A warm welcome greets us as we enter and any newbies are usually shown to a table and introduced to other members, so no one is felt excluded.
A nice cup of tea/coffee and biscuits and raffle ticket awaits you before the group starts it’s monthly activity, whether it is a guest speaker, music group or quiz there is always something for our brains to absorb! You are doing a grand job.

On the first Thursday of the month there is an event, demonstration, or speaker. This is wide ranging and can vary from a table top conjurer to a speaker who worked with NASA on the tracking of meteorites. Coming up is a falconry demonstration!

I am a very recent member of the group but already I am struck by Bob's enthusiasm and commitment. This is a voluntary role and all groups of this type need their own "Bob" always ready with a supportive word. A guy who has led a full and active life till now and shows no sign of slowing down. He is an example to us all. He is an example to us all of how to adapt both mentally and physically - keep it up Bob!
