South Manchester Parkinson's Support Group

We are a social and support group for people with Parkinson’s and their partners or carers who live in South Manchester and
surrounding areas. We meet once a month, on the second Monday of the month, at Didsbury Good Neighbours in Didsbury Park. People start gathering for the meeting at 12pm which typically lasts an hour or two. You can just turn up and will be welcomed.

Donations from visitors and members to help with our running costs and provision of refreshments, are very welcome. Typical donations are £6 pp. Several members also opt for shared lunch which costs £4 pp (those that want lunch will be asked in advance) Alternatively you can bring your own lunch.

There is sometimes a guest speaker offering information about a topic of interest to the group. The group also organises social gatherings and outings, where you can get to know other people facing the same challenges as yourself. We are affiliated to Parkinson’s UK and many in our group are members of that but you can attend our meetings without being a member.
