Sing to Beat Parkinson's - Online

Research suggests that group singing is beneficial for health and wellbeing. Taking part in regular group singing can help mitigate the symptoms of Parkinson’s and is a great way of boosting the mood and health of people living with the daily challenges of Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions.

The Online group is part of the Sing to Beat Parkinson’s network of singing groups across the UK (www.singtobeat.co.uk), that operates under the umbrella of registered charity Canterbury Cantata Trust, whose mission statement is ‘caring through singing’. Group singing sessions are fun, informal, social and uplifting, those who attend come away feeling in better spirits. Singing can be a helpful therapeutic activity for people with Parkinson’s, improving speech and vocal function, as well as general wellbeing.
