Sheffield Support Group social meeting

We welcome people with Parkinson's, family, friends and carers to join us from 2pm - 3pm at Tapton Masonic Hall, Shore Lane, Sheffield S10 3BU.  

We usually arrange a speaker and there is always time to chat over tea, coffee and biscuits.

There's no need to book and our meeting dates for this year are:-

  • Tuesday 5th March – Chris Holmes, Head of Community Planning and Programmes at Parkinson’s UK, will give a talk entitled 'Newly diagnosed - what was your experience? How can we help each other? improve support for newly diagnosed people with Parkinson's'. 
  • Tuesday 7th May - Helen Casbolt, a researcher from SiTran, will talk about her research into Cognospeak, and  whether it can help in the early diagnosis of Parkinson’s and cognitive impairment {NB – this has still  to be finalised}. 
  • Tuesday 3rd September - The Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses will hold another Question and Answer session. 
  • Tuesday 5th November - Speaker and venue to be finalised.
