Sheffield Group Meeting

The Sheffield Branch is run for the charity by volunteers who are living with Parkinson’s themselves or who have experience of Parkinson’s. They are supported by professional staff to:

  • Offer information, friendship and support to those with Parkinson’s, their carers, families and friends

  • Organise or assist with events and social activities for members

  • Raise funds for research and social activities to support people affected by Parkinson’s

4 February 2020 – AGM followed by guest speaker Anna Lowe (National Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine - Sheffield) “Developments in physical activity and exercise in Sheffield”


3 March 2020 – Question time for Parkinson’s Nurses


7 April 2020 - Michael Collins “Sheffield hospitals before the NHS was founded in 1948”


5 May 2020 - Lucy Aschum – “The Alexander technique and its benefits for people with Parkinson’s “


2 June 2020 – Simon Cork – “ American Presidents : Who .. Why.. and When”
