Seated Yoga
This yoga class can be done seated or standing and is suitable for anyone, but perfect for those who struggle with getting up and down on a mat.
It is a mixture of stretching and strength work, designed to help with mobility, comfort, improve core strength, balance and coordination. It will also incorporate breathwork, meditation and rest to help ease anxiety, improve resilience and give people an hour of me time and to focus on themselves.
Yoga is very beneficial for both the physical body and mental health. It's ran by a level three qualified yoga instructor, who has experience in teaching seated yoga and teaching people living with Parkinson's. The teacher is a big believer that yoga is for everyone, and will always adapt and modify poses to suit the individual.
Carers and partners are more than welcome to join in- space dependant. The hall is large, with ample parking and a ramp for access.
There is an opportunity for a hot drink and chat before class to get to know each other.
