Seated exercise for people with Parkinson's

Last session before Xmas is on 16 December, returning on 5th January 2024.

A seated session to help people with Parkinson's in their everyday lives. The session includes warm up, mobility moves, pushing and pulling movements, leg-work and cool down with refreshments after. With trainer Amy Rodgers who has done training specifically for people with Parkinson's.

Please remember to wear loose clothing, flat shoes and bring a water bottle.

The class is subsidised by the support group, but a charge of £3 per person helps with the costs and includes the refreshments at the end.

Priority will be given to people with Parkinson's but carers/partners are welcome to join if there is room.

Testimonial from attendee:

Seated exercise classes organised by Bob Mays is a weekly mix of 30 minutes serious seated exercising aimed at people with Parkinson disease. The weekly exercise is preceded and followed with tea, biscuits and general chat among the group. All this is organised by Bob supported by Carol. At a cost of £3 per session this must be among the best “value for money” social events in Southend. Well-done Bob and well-done Carol. Please keep up the good work and thank you.
John
