Rock Steady Boxing Tendring

Rock Steady Boxing Tendring is a specialised, non-contact boxing-based fitness programme designed specifically for people living with Parkinson's. Our classes combine boxing-inspired exercises with functional movement, strength training, balance work, coordination, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise, all adapted to suit each participant's individual abilities and stage of Parkinson's.

Research has shown that regular, targeted exercise can help people with Parkinson's maintain mobility, improve balance and coordination, increase strength, reduce the risk of falls and support overall wellbeing. Our sessions are designed to challenge both the body and the mind in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

At Rock Steady Boxing Tendring, there is no physical contact or sparring. Instead, participants take part in structured exercises that focus on improving everyday movements, reaction times, posture, confidence and independence. Every exercise can be adapted, whether someone is newly diagnosed, living with more advanced Parkinson's, or prefers to exercise seated.

Our classes are about much more than exercise. We aim to create a welcoming community where people living with Parkinson's can meet others who understand their experiences, reduce social isolation, build friendships and support one another. Family members, carers and loved ones are also welcome to engage with the wider Rock Steady Boxing community. The cost is £6 per session.

Our mission is to empower people living with Parkinson's to fight back against the symptoms of the condition through regular exercise, encouragement and peer support. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to remain active, independent and confident for as long as possible.

Whether you have recently been diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson's for many years, you will receive a warm welcome from our friendly team. Sessions are delivered in a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every achievement is celebrated, no matter how big or small.

We look forward to welcoming you to Rock Steady Boxing Tendring and supporting you on your Parkinson's journey.
