Raise Your Voice (Singing Group)

Raise Your Voice is a singing group aimed not only at those with diagnosed conditions such as Parkinson’s, Dementia and COPD, but to anyone wanting to take part in a fun, social activity, benefiting from positive mental and physical health.

It has been proved that singing can improve circulation, boost the immune system and increase brain activity. You’ll be guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face.

Hosted by Wendy White, Singing therapist. Sessions are in person at the State of the Arts Academy in Hull.

The session includes 15 minutes of breathing/relaxation, stretching/simple yoga style exercises and vocal exercises (all done while sitting down), then 45 minutes of singing.

Everyone can take part and can go at their own pace and ability.

We also have a WhatsApp group chat that everyone is invited to join. This is our main form of communication, including updates, news, class cancellations and general social chat etc.
