Posture and Stability Class
The purpose of the class is to concentrate on maintaining strength, balance and stamina to help with everyday life – getting in and out of a car, standing from sitting position and, very importantly, to help prevent falling.
The classes start with seated mindfulness and breath work leading on to a warm up for the muscles before progressing into standing exercises (with or without support) to help with muscle strengthening, flexibility and balance to aid coordination and reduce the risk of injury.
The exercises can be adapted for both seated and standing which the participants can choose. The class ends with Tai Chi exercises as part of a gentle cool down.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in.
