PARKlife (Younger Onset Group)
We're an informal group of people with early onset Parkinson’s who get together with the aim of offering mutual support and sharing information to help with living with Parkinson's.
The group is aimed at people with Parkinson's who have been diagnosed at a younger age and our focus is on the unique challenges of balancing life with work, family commitments and keeping active. We want to create a space where we can share our experience of living with Parkinson and being of working age.
We invite guest speakers to our meetings, including Consultant Neurologists, Dietitians and Physiotherapists, and we welcome any suggestions for future speakers.
Our meetings provide an opportunity to connect with others, gain valuable insights, and stay informed about the latest developments in Parkinson’s care and support.
We have a WhatsApp community group where we share information about Parkinson's UK upcoming events, recent research and any other relevant activities and information.
We meet on Tuesdays bi monthly from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, our usual venue is the Kings Head in Wimborne, where we have use of a room, but it's always worth checking. Occasionally we may meet else where depending on what we are doing.
No cost and buy your own drinks.
