Parkinson's Walking Tennis Session

We play walking tennis which involves the use of less pressurised balls and the ability to let the ball bounce twice; this gives time to move to the ball without having to run. The sessions mainly consist of playing fun matches and everyone is very supportive of each other.

Tennis is a great activity for people with Parkinson's as it is good for balance, co-ordination and decision making. It is also great fun!

After the tennis we retire to the club house for tea/coffee and a chat!

Players do not need to provide any equipment. We have plenty of rackets and balls, you just need to wear comfortable clothing and trainers.

The dates of our monthly sessions vary and are organised to fit in with the Salisbury Parkinson's Group schedule as well as the coach's!

It is best to contact either our coach, Carolyn Barry at [email protected] to check the dates before turning up!
