Parkinson's Walking Football (Alan Higgs Sports Centre)

Our Walking Football sessions are for anyone living with Parkinson's or related conditions, no experience necessary!

A very popular, evidence-based activity, walking football aims to improve muscle strength, balance, co-ordination, mental health and general wellbeing in a fun and social environment.

Booking is not required. A referral form is required to be completed beforehand (link will be provided below). If you’re not tech savvy then not to worry! Just turn up to one of our sessions and one of our coaches will help you complete the form online or will provide you a paper copy to complete.

The session will take place on an indoor 4G pitch. No specific dress code, whatever you’re comfortable in is more than fine. Carers are more than welcome to get involved too; the session is as much for you as it is anyone else. There is disability access to the pitch, free parking and a café on site too where we can sit down afterwards for a tea/coffee and socialising.
