Parkinson's Walking Football

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust is proud to launch a brand-new Parkinson’s Walking Football programme in May 2025,
delivered in partnership with the EFL and Mind to Muscle, a specialist organisation focused on physical rehabilitation and
neurological well being.

This initiative is designed to support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions by offering a
safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants can enjoy the benefits of physical activity through walking
football.

Through tailored coaching, gentle physical exercise, and peer support, the sessions aim to:

  • Improve balance, coordination and mobility
  • Promote mental well being and reduce isolation
  • Build confidence in a team-based, friendly atmosphere
