This is a free, open event for everyone affected by Parkinson's.
Take time between presentations to speak with members of the local Parkinson’s UK and NHS team.
There is a quiet space where you can enjoy light refreshments served from the cafe and meet other members of the local Parkinson’s community.
11am - Parkinson’s Information
We will hear from Stuart, your local Parkinson’s nurse specialist who will share information about Parkinson’s medication and how to live well with Parkinson’s. There will be a chance to speak with members of the NHS team throughout the day with any questions or comments you may have.
12pm - Local Support
Hear from Leigh Stroud, Area Development Manager about local support available for you. Volunteers from the Isle of Wight Parkinson’s Group will be available to share information about physical activities and social events.
2pm - Parkinson’s Research
Are you interested in the latest advancements in Parkinson’s research?
Whether you are a dedicated researcher, someone affected by Parkinson’s, or simply curious about new discoveries shaping the future of Parkinson’s care, this event is for you!
Hear from Laura Jacobs, Research Involvement Manager at Parkinson’s UK who will share updates on the latest Parkinson’s research and host a Q&A session afterwards.
Drop in between 10.30am and 4pm - Marketplace
Visit community groups who will be attending with information stands where you can take time to speak with each organisation and receive the support and information you need.
