Parkinson's Tennis

Our sessions aim to be fun, active, and mentally stimulating, while also recognising the social importance of coming together. We treat each participant individually, although we understand that there will be shared experiences.

As a club and committee, we are grateful for the full support and continued backing of Norfolk LTA and Parkinson's UK. Their experience and knowledge have been invaluable in helping us continually develop and improve our tennis programme and we look forward to welcoming you.

Short-court tennis, mainly using sponge balls on an indoor badminton court so sessions can be held all year around. The sessions are designed to encourage and help players learn tennis techniques and skills in a fun and inclusive way.

The sessions are for beginners to those who have played some tennis before. The key aim is to have fun, learn new skills and share in the experience.

We want to see partners and carers getting involved, we do not want them standing on the sidelines getting bored, they are more than welcome to take part.

Some lose clothing, non-slip shoes i.e. trainers are essential, and a water bottle is all that is required. Rackets can be provided.

The cost is £5.00 or voluntary contribution.

We welcome inquiries from family members and carers of those living with Parkinson's. If you are interested in getting involved or know someone who might be, please contact Ross Wilson at [email protected] or call him on M: 07952 5966221.
