Parkinson's Sing! Choir - Leicester East
Parkinson's Sing! Choir grew out of a project funded by a donation from the Freemasons in 2012. We sing together for fun and because singing has been proven to be good for people who have Parkinson's (Sidney De Haan Institute), wellbeing and "feeling-good". We sing in three parts; music is provided but is taught by rote so reading music is not needed. We sing a wide range of styles from folksongs, spirituals, to musicals. There are no auditions, the choir is open to everyone who wants to sing. We visit local Parkinson's groups, and have also sung at fundraisers in Birmingham, Kibworth and Leicester. The choir is friendly and welcoming, and we all enjoy a chat, a cuppa and biscuits in the break. Why not try us out?
The cost is £6 per session.
Sessions run weekly (term time only) on Fridays.
