Parkinson’s Physical Activity Session
- The session is led by a qualified fitness coach employed by the Leisure Centre. The session starts with some seated warm-ups (which can also be done standing) and then the remainder of the session is a mix of different activities including seated volleyball, archery, boxing and boccia. The sessions are person centred and adapted to meet the needs of all the participants.
- The sessions also offer opportunity to improve social and mental health.
- The sessions are supported by East Riding Active Communities and Pocklington Rugby in the Community.
- All levels of ability are welcome, including wheelchair users, activities can be done seated or standing.
- Members enjoy the fun of keeping active and a bit of healthy competition!
- Multi-sports activities help with mobility, balance, strength and cardiovascular improvements
- Activity takes place in the sports hall, so comfy clothing and water bottle is advised.

- Social time afterwards, with a drink in the seated foyer area, if you wish to stay for a drink afterwards.
