Parkinson’s Physical Activity Session

  • The session is led by a qualified fitness coach employed by the Leisure Centre. The session starts with some seated warm-ups (which can also be done standing) and then the remainder of the session is a mix of different activities including seated volleyball, archery, boxing and boccia. The sessions are person centred and adapted to meet the needs of all the participants.
  • The sessions also offer opportunity to improve social and mental health.
  • The sessions are supported by East Riding Active Communities and Pocklington Rugby in the Community.
  • All levels of ability are welcome, including wheelchair users, activities can be done seated or standing.
  • Members enjoy the fun of keeping active and a bit of healthy competition!
  • Multi-sports activities help with mobility, balance, strength and cardiovascular improvements
  • Activity takes place in the sports hall, so comfy clothing and water bottle is advised.

  • Price: £3.00 per session
  • No Booking required
  • Social time afterwards, with a drink in the seated foyer area, if you wish to stay for a drink afterwards.
