Parkinson’s Move & Shout

Parkinson’s Move & Shout is a group exercise class that aims to promote physical fitness, mobility, and overall wellbeing for participants. It is tailored to address the specific needs of individuals living with Parkinson's, providing targeted physical activity sessions with the goal of improving participants' quality of life, enhancing motor skills and fostering a supportive community.

The class is led by an experienced Level 3 Exercise Referral instructor who is qualified in working with individuals with long term health conditions. Each instructor has also received specific Move & Shout training from Parkinson’s UK to be able to deliver the programme safely and effectively.

The instructor can adapt the exercises to suit those of a lower ability, so don’t be put off if you are nervous and/or haven’t taken part in physical activity for a while. Carers/partners are welcome to participate free of charge alongside a member/paying participant.

There is a maximum capacity of 12 for this session and therefore booking is required – you can do this in-person at the centre reception or via phone at 0114 283 9900. Please note you will require a Places Leisure account (free of charge) to access the session which can also be set up by our reception team.

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing that are suitable for exercise, and bring along a bottle of water.
There is extensive parking at Graves Health & Sports Centre which is free of charge.

First 12 weeks free, £5.50 PAYG or access via discounted membership thereafter
