Parkinson's Meetup & Move

Discover the joy of movement in a supportive, friendly space. Parkinson’s Meetup & Move is a brand‑new creative dance class from DanceEast, designed especially for people living with Parkinson’s and their supporters and companions.

Meetup & Move is led by trained and experienced dance practitioners and draws on our experience as a regional hub for English National Ballet’s Dance for Parkinson’s programme, alongside a wealth of research showing the benefits of dance for people living with Parkinson’s. Dance can help manage and alleviate physical symptoms, potentially slow their progression, and support mental health and wellbeing.

Parkinson’s Meetup & Move combines gentle, creative movement with time to socialise, helping you feel active, connected and supported. Sessions run for 90 minutes, from 2pm to 3.30pm, with 60 minutes of dancing followed by 30 minutes of social time and refreshments. Classes can be enjoyed both seated and standing, and participants are invited to share their music choices, styles of dance, and favourite dance moves!

From 30 June to 28 July 2026, all classes are free to attend. There will be no classes in August and from 1 September onwards, there will be a Pay As You Go session fee of £5.
