Parkinson's Exercise Master Class

FUN physical exercise class that uses body weight, resistance bands and balls.

This is an instructor led fitness and wellbeing class incorporating strength, balance, falls prevention and flexibility, with an emphasis on having fun and being the best you can be.

Suitable for all levels, the instructor will work to find alternatives for exercises if needed.

Please wear comfortable clothes and supportive footwear.

The Master Class takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

How to access the Master Class

To access the Master Class, participants need to complete a practical assessment within the Scotch Horn Leisure Centre's Exercise for people with Parkinson's class. Initial assessments can be completed on any Thursday from 12 noon to 1pm. To make an enquiry and book an assessment, contact Amanda Burroughs: [email protected]

The Community Power Group

Participants who attend the Master Class have the opportunity of joining one of The Community Power Group, who meet weekly across various venues in North West Somerset including Portishead, Yatton, Backwell and Tickenham. Groups meet every Monday, 10am to 12 noon. Information about joining one of these groups can be provided by Amanda. Please note that The Community Power Group is a third party activity and not run by Parkinson's UK.
