Parkinson's Exercise Classes Sefton
These friendly classes are held at Maghull Community Association and delivered by Sarah Macdonald, a HCPC registered Neuro Physiotherapist with extensive experience supporting people with Parkinson’s.
The classes are delivered in rolling monthly blocks and are designed to address the common difficulties encountered by people with Parkinson’s; incorporating strength, balance and aerobic exercise for a fun and effective overall workout! Each block of classes has a different theme and you will also be provided with home exercises to complement each theme.
Enrolment and group allocation is subject to the outcome of a Screening Assessment to ensure safety to exercise in a group setting. Pre-booking is therefore essential.
Group sizes are capped to ensure that the exercises can be tailored individually, ensuring safety and high quality.
Bring along a bottle of water and any medications you may need during exercise. Wear well-fitting and supportive shoes which are appropriate for exercise and consider wearing layers as the aim will be for you to get warm!
