Parkinson's Exercise Class

A weekly exercise class for individuals with Parkinson’s. Each session will focus on different aspects of movement, including strength, balance, mobility, and coordination, while also providing education and practical tips for managing Parkinson’s.

Every Friday at 14:30 until 15:30 

£5 per session

What to Expect

  • Structured warm-up, movement-based activities, and cool-down
  • A different theme or focus each week
  • Education and practical advice on Parkinson’s management
  • A friendly, welcoming environment with opportunities to meet others

Who Runs the Class?
This is a student-led class run by physiotherapy students from the University of Leicester, with supervision from qualified
specialist physiotherapists.

Who Can Join?
Individuals with Parkinson’s who can mobilise independently (with or without a walking aid)
Carers and family members are welcome to attend

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable non-slip shoes
  • A water bottle
  • Loose, comfortable clothing suitable for movement

Location and Accessibility:
Parking at the university can be difficult—disabled spaces can be requested in advance (though specific spots cannot be
reserved). Please allow extra time for parking.
