Parkinson's Exercise Class
Exercise classes for people with Parkinson's are run by a specialist physiotherapist.
The class involves seated exercises to music and individual work in groups or as a circuit to promote flexibility, strength, good posture, coordination, balance and cardiovascular fitness. Afterwards we have guided relaxation to reduce stress and anxiety.
Participants should be able to walk independently (with or without a walking aid). Carers are encouraged to attend particularly where the attendee might need extra support or encouragement during the class.
Parking is free providing car registration details are given at the reception on arrival.
Uptake of the classes is high and so must be booked in advance as there is a limit of 12 for each session.
The first class is free then the cost is £6.00 per session payable half termly.
