Parkinson's Bat & Chat Nantwich

Our sessions, led by qualified table tennis coach Jan Johns, provide the opportunity for people to get some exercise, meet fellow people living with Parkinson’s and have some fun.

We have 6 tables, specialist supportive flooring and plenty of bats and balls.

Table Tennis can have a positive impact on symptoms, both physically and mentally, and is fully inclusive. It can be as gentle or as energetic as you want it to be. It requires fine motor skills, hand-eye co-ordination, balance and stimulates various parts of the brain.

Players can take part whilst standing, seated or using frames that we provide.

Significant others and helpers are very welcome to join in, or simply enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

We ask that people wear comfortable, loose clothing and flat soft soled shoes.

The car park is very uneven, so for some people it might be better to be dropped at the entrance, before parking.

The sessions are free of charge to everyone, including carers and helpers. We are grateful to Cheshire East and Cheshire & Merseyside NHS for their support.

Booking is not required, but it would be good to know if you are coming.
