Parkinson’s and MS Physical activity group
- A light physical activity session for people with Parkinson’s and MS.
- The session starts with seated exercises (or standing) followed by a mixture of target games including archery and
pickle ball and other team games. - The activities aim to increase your confidence to take part in physical activity and aim to improve heart health,
balance, coordination and flexibility. - The session is led by Paul, a trained coach employed by East Riding Leisure Centre and supported by a team of
volunteers. - All abilities are welcome. Activities can be done seated or standing.
- No Booking required.
- Comfy clothes and a bottle of water is recommended.
- After the session there is time for a drink afterwards, if you would like to stay for some social time.
- The activity is run in partnership with East Riding Leisure, Active Communities and Parkinson’s UK. Following the
success of a similar session at Pocklington Leisure Centre, the same coach will run these sessions at Driffield
Leisure Centre. - £3.20 per session
