Parkinson Exercise Class and Social Get Together

Join us for a session of physical activity that can help ease the symptoms of Parkinson's run by Sport in Desford (S.I.D).

This free exercise class is run by Jeremy Edwards, a specialised rehabilitation instructor who is also the gym manager at Sport
in Desford. The exercise session is designed around fall prevention and lasts up to 1 hour. The class includes a warm up
routine, followed by some balance and coordination work involving movement, strength work including resistance bands, and balance exercises. This class caters for a wide range of ability levels including wheelchair users. The exercise session has music playing in the background and exercises can be done seated or standing.

After the exercise, free tea/coffee is served which allows you to have a catch up with friends.

There is ample free car parking at Sport in Desford and the class takes place on the ground floor. There are adequate toilet facilities also on the ground floor.

No need to book, just come along! If you would like to talk to someone beforehand around your suitability or any other questions you would like to ask then please contact Jeremy Edwards on 07816 632619.

Come along and give it a try every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4pm. A warm welcome awaits you.
