Nordic walking classes now available for Uttoxeter Parkinson’s communities

When: bi-weekly on Mondays from 1.30pm 

Where: Uttoxeter Leisure Centre, Oldfields Road, Uttoxeter, ST14 7QL 

Cost: £3 per person

People living with Parkinson’s from across Uttoxeter and the surrounding areas are being encouraged to try a Nordic walking class which is aiming to help more people live well with the condition in winter. 

No previous experience of Nordic walking is required and participants are welcome to bring their relatives, carers or loved ones to join in, plus there’s a chance to socialise with a coffee and chat after the walk.

The sessions are delivered by a qualified Nordic walking instructor, with accessible parking and toilets available on-site. Nordic walking poles are provided and every walk can be tailored to the needs of the individual, with all ages and abilities welcome to join in.
