Nordic walking

Nordic walking group for people affected by Parkinson's.

Nordic walking is a great form of physical activity using a pair of specially designed Nordic walking poles. It is a safe way to improve your natural walking technique alongside fitness levels by allowing the body to work in a balanced way.

The sessions are free and poles will be provided.

Our sessions run on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 12.30pm.

The venue is the access road to Ancorians Rugby club.

This is an hour long session with the provision of not being more than 10 minutes away from the start point so anyone can return to the start point if they feel the session is too much. This walk is aimed at those who can already walk up to 3 miles. The group is delivered in a “split format” to account for various abilities of walkers. The terrain is deemed as flat.
