Nordic Walking

I am a recently qualified British Nordic Walking Instructor with additional Parkinson's training, offering a series of sessions introducing the Nordic walking technique. Typically, there are 6 sessions of technique learning which also include longer walks, followed by ongoing walks for those who have caught the Nordic walking bug.

Nordic walking is accessible for everyone and is a great form of exercise using up to 90% of your muscles. It is good for balance, coordination and improving gait. We also have fun!

I have poles available for people to borrow although you are obviously welcome to use your own. It is important to come dressed for walking outdoors in British weather together with walking shoes (with a decent non-slip tread). Please bring along some water to drink as you will be working hard.

Walks take place in Rock Park, Barnstaple. We will meet at the steel bench just alongside the toilet block in the middle of the park. There is parking on the road nearby.

Please contact me to check availability and to complete necessary checks.
