Non-contact Boxing
These classes will be led by Jagdeep, a qualified instructor who was diagnosed recently with Parkinson’s.
You can expect group activities and one to one instruction. These Parkinson’s boxing classes are non-combat workouts, meaning you won’t be fighting another person.
Boxing works on brain-body coordination including changing your position, changing your posture, and challenging your balance. The more you do, the better your balance and reaction becomes. As a result, participants improve their strength, power, agility, speed, balance and postural stability, hand-eye coordination and reaction time.
The ultimate goal is to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life for people with Parkinson’s.
