Neuro Heroes Yoga

Yoga is an important part of a well-rounded exercise programme for people living with neurological conditions. Combining gentle movement, stretching, balance work and mindful breathing, each session is designed to improve flexibility, mobility, posture and body awareness while promoting relaxation and well-being.

Classes are individually adapted to suit a range of abilities, with movements performed in standing and on the floor where possible, or modified for a chair, sofa or bed if needed. Led by an experienced yoga instructor, sessions provide a calm and supportive environment to help you move with greater ease, reduce stiffness and reconnect with your body through mindful movement and breathing.

The class is suitable for mixed abilities, but you will need to be able to move into a comfortable reclined position for the relaxation element at the end of the session. Please have cushions and a blanket nearby to help you get the most from your practice.

These are live, virtual classes held over Zoom, meaning you can access our expertise and benefit from our evidence based exercises from anywhere. You’ll never see 50 or even 20 faces on your screen during our classes. Groups are kept small enough for the class physio to offer real-time, individualised feedback.

Participants are required to complete an online assessment form before their first class to ensure they are placed in the most appropriate session.

Pricing starts from £10 per class, depending upon the membership level. Alternatively, our pay as you go fee is £15 per class. We also offer free and heavily subsidised places in our classes to people who meet certain criteria.
