Museum Encounters: Dance for Parkinson's

A free six-session dance course for people affected by Parkinson's, inspired by objects, artworks and stories from the University of Cambridge Museums. Each session combines a museum object 'encounter' with creative movement, music and conversation in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Led by experienced dance for health artist Filipa Pereira-Stubbs, sessions are specially designed for people living with Parkinson's and their companions. No previous dance experience is needed, and activities are inclusive to all.

Comfortable clothing suitable for gentle movement is recommended.

Partners, family members, carers and companions are warmly welcome. The course is designed to be enjoyable and beneficial for both people living with Parkinson's and those who attend alongside them. If someone needs support during the session, they should attend with a companion.
