Movement & Dance for Parkinson's, Denholm

This group session is part of the Dance for Parkinson group, in association with the Scottish Ballet.

The group is designed to incorporate the power of movement to support:

  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Balance
  • Flexibility
  • Core Strength
  • Physical wellbeing and mental wellbeing

By using the power of movement to move the body we also encourage brain to muscles co-operation but in a gentle and inviting environment.

Using storytelling whilst moving and concentrating on posture whilst sitting and walking sections, it invites participants to move to their own ability, whilst interacting with others, as well as vocal support to promote the use of the vocal chords.

There is also a social section which promotes interaction in a relaxed environment.

Carers and partners are Invited to join in and be part of the group activities. £5 for participants and carers/partners are free.
