Mindfulness Classes - Online
Struggling with falling asleep or getting back off to sleep? Would you like to learn ways to reduce stress and anxious thoughts to try and prevent overwhelm? Or ease tension and discomfort in mind and body?
Come and join our Mindfulness classes for people with Parkinson's and their carers, led by Gillian Ward, a British School of Meditation accredited teacher, and Ofqual recognised. Gillian has been teaching Mindfulness to people affected by Parkinson's both online and in person for nearly ten years.
Whatever we go through in life, mindfulness meditation helps us learn to relax and stay relaxed. People normally reach out to Gillian because they’re struggling with some element of their health and wellbeing. It might be managing an existing condition, a specific symptom, such as pain, stress, energy levels and sleep problems, or experiencing a tough time emotionally. Clients who practice mindfulness meditation often improve symptoms more quickly and manage medical diagnosis’, conditions and operations/procedures (and dental!) with much more emotional stability and ease.
To help long after the class, little tools and techniques are plentiful for you to pick and choose to take home and incorporate seamlessly into your everyday life.
Some specific feedback from attendees both members and their partners/carers:
'Following difficulties sleeping, I can now fall asleep in one minute’
'I find it much easier to sleep generally, as I'm more relaxed’
Two reported it's helped with the very tricky condition and symptoms of Tinnitus!
'I'm better able to relax and stay relaxed’
‘With her contagious smile, Gillian is excellent at tackling anything that we push her way with enthusiasm, helping counteract any anxieties and lifting any tensions with ease.’
