Milehouse Exercise Classes

The exercise classes are run by qualified physiotherapists and focus on exercises specifically to help people with Parkinson's.

Each session is focused on mobility, coordination, balance and/or flexibility. The sessions are suitable for all levels as chairs are provided for those who want to remain seated, and backs of chairs to steady balance if standing. The sessions are varied and may include the use of Therabands, soft balls or hoops.

We very much welcome carers to come along and join in should they want to. Comfy non-slip shoes should be worn to the sessions and it's a good idea to bring a water bottle for hydration.

Volunteers who run the Milehouse session offer tea and coffee after the class, so it's also is a bit of a social too.

We do have spaces but it is worth contacting the lead volunteer to check beforehand as the classes fluctuate in numbers.

Street parking is available outside the church hall.

The first session is free, but then there is a charge of £5 each per session to help towards the running costs. Carers go free.
